CIRENCESTER Town's Corinium Stadium will play host to a charity football match this weekend to raise money for the Children's Football Alliance.
Cirencester Town Vets will play against an all-star team involving actors from the British sitcom This Country.
Charlie (Kurtan Mucklowe), Paul (Martin Mucklowe), Daisy (Kerry Mucklowe) and the cast of This Country will be in attendance along with special guests such as Matt Bayton (Ghosts, Gaving & Stacey, Horrible Histories), Felix White (The Macabees), Ellis Platen (youtuber), Jess Impiazzi (celebrity big brother & model) with more surprise celebrities to be confirmed and added.
Tickets cost £10 for adults and entry for children is free, with all proceeds going to the Children's Football Alliance (CFA).
The CFA is a coalition of agencies and organisations that safeguard and advance the rights of children in football.
Their website explains a little bit more about what their aim is.
"Globally, children contribute immeasurably to the game of football as players, as fans, as workers and in many other ways. Without doubt, the power of football to be an influential and dominant force for good in the daily lives of children worldwide is enormous.
"As a humanistic voice and advocate for children, The CFA also acts as a focal point and network for those individuals and organisations seeking sustainable partnerships, information, education and/or training on child-centred approaches and children’s rights in football."
