FOREST Green Rovers have bolstered their squad ahead of pre-season with the signing of two midfielders.
Opi Edwards has joined on a one-year-deal from Bristol City.
The 21-year-old started his career with the Bristol Inner City Academy before linking with up the Robins youth-squad in 2015.
Edwards made his debut in the FA Cup in 2018 and appeared four times in the league during the previous campaign.
He has also had spells on loan with Bath City, Solihull Moors and Torquay United.
Rich Hughes, Rovers’ director of football, said: “Opi is a player who has real talent - and we’re delighted to get this deal over the line.
“We’ve got a squad full of young and exciting players - so we’re sure Opi will thrive in that environment.”
Ben Stevenson has also joined the club from Colchester United, for whom he made 97 appearances across two spells.
He has penned a two-year-deal with the club.
The 24-year-old started his career with Coventry City as an eight-year-old, going on to play on 48 occasions for the Sky Blues and winning the EFL Trophy, before joining Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Stevenson had loan spells with Colchester and Spanish side Jumilla while with Wolves, before heading to Colchester permanently - becoming a mainstay in the side across three seasons in League Two.
Rich Hughes said: “Ben is an experienced player at this level and has so much potential. I’m sure the fans will enjoy his technical ability.”
Meanwhile, defenders Udoka Godwin-Malife and Baily Cargill have signed contract extensions, keeping them at the club until the end of the 2022/23 season.
