CIRENCESTER Town Women remain on course to complete an invincible season in the Gloucestershire County Women's Football League.
Cirencester made it 10 wins from 10 in the 2023/24 campaign following another clean sheet in the 4-0 away victory at Saracens.
Having drawn a blank in the first-half, Cirencester turned on the style after the break to maintain their perfect record. Goals for Jodie Bailey and Eden Marsh were added to by an Eve Timbrell brace as the visitors eventually completed another routine victory.
There was also a return to the squad for Katie Bailey, who was back following a lengthy injury lay-off, and she picked up the player of the match award to cap a brilliant individual display.
Cirencester are now 11 points clear at the top of the table having recorded a maximum 30 points from 30, scoring a whopping 52 goals in the process and conceding just eight at the other end. It looks as if nothing will stop them from winning the Division One title and gaining promotion into a higher level.
The only side capable of maybe being able to halt them in their run to the title is Bishops Cleeve Ladies, who are 12 points behind Cirencester with two games in hand.
They have not played since the start of January, but have won each of their last three games to nil, scoring an impressive 18 goals in the process.
And it's those two sides who play each other in the next round of league fixtures on February 11, where Cleeve will need to win in order to have any chance of catching the runaway train that is Cirencester.
