CIRENCESTER Town Ladies continued their perfect league record to keep themselves top at Christmas.
They beat second-placed Whitchurch on Sunday afternoon 5-1 to make it seven wins from seven to make it a maximum 21 points from 21 so far in the 2023/24 campaign.
There were five different scorer on the day for Cirencester, with goals from Libberty Messenger, Lucy Scrannage and Nikola Biskup added to by substitutes Skye Cooper and Eden Marsh.
The result means Cirencester open up a three-point lead on Whitchurch, with two games in hand heading into the new year.
Third-placed Cheltenham Civil Service Ladies look to be the closest title rival to Cirencester with five wins from their six games, but did lose for the first time this season on Sunday at Bishops Cleeve Ladies.
They are six points adrift but do have a game in hand on Cirencester and play Cirencester in the first game of 2024 on January 7.
Elsewhere in the Gloucestershire County Womens Football League, Bristol & West Ladies beat Dursley Town Ladies 4-0.
