JAKE Lee's stoppage-time winner ensured Cirencester Town recorded a dramatic late win at AFC Dunstable in a thrilling Southern League Division One Central contest on Saturday.
The visitors scored all three of their goals in the final 15 minutes of the game, with Lee's winner sparking wild celebrations after John Shamalo looked to have salvaged a point for the hosts in the 89th minute.
Cameron Cook had put Dunstable 1-0 ahead earlier in the first-half but Harry Burns scored in the 77th and 85th minute to turn the game around for The Centurions and put them on course for all three points.
But Shamalo converted from close-range to give what the hosts thought was a deserved equaliser in the final minute of normal time.
However, there was to be one final twist in the contest with what was the last kick of the game as a free-kick dumped into the hosts' box was eventually smashed home by Lee as Cirencester snatched all three points.
The hosts started well and took the lead on 12 minutes when Cook took advantage of a couple of ricochets off Town defenders before hitting a shot with the outside of his foot into the net.
At half time, Joe Oxley and James Townsend made two attacking changes for the hosts with Ethan Holt and Weyman coming on for Jacob Anderson and Rio Deall.
It seemed to work as on 56 minutes, good work by AFC saw Josiah Ramsay have a shot blocked before Weyman shot from distance, which Stuart Nelson did well to save.
From then on though, the visitors upped their game. Felix Miles' shot deflected wide ten minutes later and Tom Finch made an excellent save to deny Reegan Messenger in the 75th minute.
The goal that looked like coming eventually did when midfielder Burns drilled home a shot from the edge of the box to level the score.
AFC were struggling to create in a game that was becoming more and more hectic and the away side looked to have won the game when Burns scored his second with five minutes left on the clock.
However, a brilliant move saw Sade Lichtenfield's cross find substitute John Shamalo to score at the front post with a minute left of normal time.
Both sides probably would have settled for a point but a poorly given away free kick allowed the visitors to load up the box for one last attack.
The ball was lobbed in and a knock down from Miles seemed to hit the back of an AFC defender and the ball fell kindly to Lee, who scored from a few yards out to give his team the points.
