CIRENCESTER Development earned just their second point of the 2022/23 Hellenic Division One campaign on Saturday as they held fellow strugglers Newent Town to a 0-0 draw.
Before Saturday, the young side had managed just one draw from their 32 league games but they dug deep to pick up a deserved point.
Despite already being relegated from the division, Cirencester have impressed in recent weeks, coming close on a couple of occasions to ending their drought.
They have three games left to find a victory to end their season on a high, with the clash at Moreton Rangers looking the most likely. They also face Cheltenham Saracens and second-placed Hartpury University to conlude the 22/23 campaign.
As for Cirencester Town first team, they had their Southern League Division One Central clash at FC Romania postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

A late inspection was called and with standing water on the surface, the game was called-off.
But they were back in action on Tuesday in their Gloucestershire County Cup tie with a Bristol City XI.
A mixture of first-team and development players were involved and they took a first-minute lead through Aidan Bennett.
Bristol equalised in the second-half and then pinched it in stoppage time to secure their passage to the next round.
