Two Bourton Roadrunners completed their fastest 26.2-miler of the year in Italy.

Susan Hunt and Linda Edwards, both seasoned marathon runners, journeyed to the city of Florence to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the renowned marathon.

Despite recently battling illness, the pair both recorded season-best times.

Hunt crossed the finish line in four hours, 11 minutes, and seven seconds, while Edwards completed the race in four hours, 30 minutes, and 32 seconds.

Back in the UK, veteran Bourton runner Tony Goodwill participated in the Eynsham 10K, his final race of the season.

Competing against the best runners from Oxfordshire and neighbouring counties, Tony completed the course in 52 minutes and 49 seconds.

Meanwhile, Bourton's Jo Cooper and Ian Tolfts joined more than 2,000 runners in the Skipton Santa Fun Run in Yorkshire, a five kilometre charity event celebrating the upcoming festive season.

The annual event, which takes participants through Aireville Park and Skipton Woods, is known for its accessibility and support for charitable causes.

Across the weekend, Roadrunners also made their presence felt at various parkrun events across the UK and beyond.

In Cape Pembroke Lighthouse parkrun, Claire Louise Carroll emerged as the first female finisher overall, completing the run in 28 minutes and 11 seconds.

In Evesham, Alex Wilson finished in 29 minutes and 23 seconds, while Susan Hunt and Linda Edwards completed the Mura di Lucca parkrun in Italy in 29 minutes and 45 seconds, and 29 minutes and 52 seconds, respectively.
