Three girls from Coalpit Heath Cricket Club are celebrating success after being selected for the Gloucestershire Girls Performance County Age Group pathway.
Lucy Thompson and Gracie Clark (pictured) were both successful in the Under 18 age group with Lilly Sheppard selected for the Under 13s.
In addition to this, Martha Honeywill and Penny Hendy have also been selected for the MCC Bristol Girls hub. All five are now enjoying participating in their respective winter training programmes.
Coalpit Heath Women and Girls co-ordinator Rachel Sheppard remarked: "Girls cricket is growing significantly in popularity, and the superb achievements of the Coalpit Heath girls are testament to both the talent and skills displayed, and the significant effort put in by our hard working girls.
"We are so pleased for all of them as they make the most of the opportunities they have - very much deserved!"
Meanwhile, the boys are also celebrating successful trials as Jude Long and Gregory Billington have also been selected to the Gloucestershire boys Zonal teams in U10 and U11 age groups respectively.
In what promises to be a great summer of cricket, Coalpit Heath will be sporting teams from the U9 to U17 age groups.
