MALMESBURY'S Louis Harvey scooped a raft of awards at Rissington Kart Club's end of season party.
Harvey,15, who has lofty ambitions to one day race in Formula 1, scooped the Rissington Kart Club's Junior TKM championship, but to his surprise was also presented with the John Payne Memorial Trophy for best overall junior.
Harvey had a fantastic year racing in the 12 rounds of the Rissington Kart Club Championship with five wins, three seconds, three thirds and only missing out on a clean sweep of podium finishes in round 11 where he was involved in an incident which also cost him his chance of winning the Midland Championship Title for 2019.
Harvey also competed in the Motorsport UK British Karting Championship, securing third-place in Britain and was the highest seeded driver from Rissington Kart Club, taking part in the national competition.
Harvey said: “I have had a fantastic year. The Klaassen Motorsport ARC Chassis and prepared engines have performed amazingly and my results have been very consistent. I really can’t thank my sponsors and supporters enough for helping me to get this far.”
Harvey has one more year left in junior kart racing and is looking to compete in both the Rissington and British championships again in 2020 before hopefully making the move to racing in either Formula Ford or Formula 4 if he can secure the relevant sponsorship.
