Marathon man Steve Edwards finishes 2018 off on a high.
Edwards took part in his 852 marathon at the Enigma Christmas Cracker, Milton Keynes. He completed the course in 3:36:25. Having to contend with a very strong headwind on this nine-lap course of Willen lake made it another tough slog.
Elsewhere, he completed his 45th and final marathon of 2018, number 853 - Phoenix Riverside, Walton on Thames - 3:37:24 for 10th place overall.
Meanwhile, Marianne Badger was over in Warwickshire to compete in the Temp Events Winter Series Ilmington 10km. Badger ran a strong race to finish in 53:22 and 22nd female in a field of 131.
North Cotswold Tri & Run Senior and Junior members were at the newly established Fire Service College park run. The Walmsley family were all taking part. Lucy Walmsley was first to cross the line and also 1st female overall in 21.04, running together was her daughter Lily-Anna finished 1st female in JW 11-14 27:43, son Bertie 1st male JM10 27:49 and her husband Dennis finished in 27:50.
Father and daughter duo Dusty and Phoebe Miller ran together also, both crossed the line in 31:26 Phoebe was 2nd JW10.
