Ladies Section
EIGHTEEN ladies competed in the recent Invitation Day.
The longest drive (18th) was won by Karen Gosling from Marlborough. Nearest the pin (6th) was won by Celia Binfield, South Cerney.
In the team competition, two teams scored 81 points, with Annie Lawton (South Cerney), Liz Kidman (Cirencester) and Sian Nickson (Broome Manor) being beaten for second place on countback by Maralyn Fawcett (South Cerney), Karen Gosling (Marlborough) and Joyce Brewin (Marlborough).
However, the winners with 82 points were Brenda Smith (South Cerney), Pam Megarry (Wrag Barn) and Sefton Hooton (Rodway Hill).
The other winner on the day was the Cirencester Hospital League of Friends, who will receive £170 raised at the event.
