Bristol Manor Farm 2
Cirencester Town 2
CIRENCESTER TOWN pulled off a magnificent comeback draw against second-placed Bristol Manor Farm and it was nothing more than they deserved.
Despite playing up the slope and into the wind in the first half Cirencester had taken the game to their lofty rivals and wasted three brilliant chances to cap a dominant performance.
Typically, Farm had taken a 1-0 lead with a goal by Dean Stamp on the breakaway, making good use of their direct route one football down the slope.
When Harley Purnell curled in a delicious goal in the 52nd minute it looked game over.
But Ciren kept believing and soon got back on the front foot.
When Tommy Anderson set up Ben Whitehead for a nice finish just inside the box in the 66th minute it was game on.
And the visitors got a well-earned point when Whitehead stole in at the back post for a precise finish three minutes from time.
