STUDENTS from Malmesbury will experience a once in a lifetime opportunity next year at one of the most prestigious rugby stadiums in the world.
Malmesbury School Year 10s took part in the Touch 2 Twickenham national competition last year, consisting of eight boys and girls from Year 10.
Over the course of the two events, Malmesbury participated at St Bedes Catholic School in Bristol and won their pool, only losing one game.
Malmesbury were then invited to take part at the regional event at Worcester Warriors' rugby stadium at Sixways, where the students played on the pitch and were announced joint winners, beating some of the independent schools up and down the country.
They were presented their trophy by Love Island star Kai Fagan.
In total, there were six winners, which included Malmesbury School, and as a result, they have now been invited to play on the pitch at Twickenham as pre-match entertainment before the England vs Wales Six Nations game in February 2024.
They will also do a lap of honour of the pitch and fly the England flag in the tunnel as the players enter the pitch. These students had a fantastic time and truly created some memories that will last a lifetime.
