THE King Is Back! And the Corn Hall is the place to be on Friday, July 4 when Michael King as Elvis will be Rockin' on Heavens Door with The Power of Presley Show Band.

The two-hour show, which begins at 8pm, guarantees to bring all the greatness of the King of rock and roll's concert days to Cirencester.

"Michael King, accompanied by his band, The Power of Presley, is so authentic you will be left wondering if the King is really gone," said Cotswold District Council events officer Rik Husdan.

Michael has also performed live with Elvis's original backing vocalists, the Jordanaires, in Las Vegas and has been endorsed by none other than David Stanley, Elvis's stepbrother.

"Michael King is nothing short of spooky," said David, who saw the real Elvis perform more than 1,000 times in concert.

So, if you are lonesome tonight put on your blue suede shoes and head to the Corn Hall for a night of rock, jailhouse style.

Tickets in advance from the Cirencester Visitor Information Centre (01285 654180) or on the door.
