TONIGHT, June 9 at 8pm, the roof of the Gateway Centre at the Cotswold Water Park will be reverberating to the sounds of Black Umfolosi.
This internationally acclaimed harmonic a cappella singing and traditional African dance group, based in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe and often compared with Ladysmith Black Mambazo of South Africa, has toured extensively throughout Europe, the US, Australia and Asia.
Their dynamic live performances showcase the traditional songs and dancing styles of the Southern African region as well as the more contemporary styles and movements they develop themselves. They have won admirers world wide for their shows - both dance and a cappella - as well as for their general energy, enthusiasm and humour.
