WESTONBIRT Arboretum will echo to the sound of heavy metal, rock, pop, dance - you name it - when Beautiful South perform a back-to-back show with Madness on Friday, June 17 and Saturday, June 18, the first of the Westonbirt summer season of concerts, promoted by the Forestry Commission.
Beautiful South have been described as "a bundle of good natured fun, full of gentle humour and love for the chosen songs" - these coming mainly from their most recent Golddiggas album.
Madness need no introduction. Their huge haul of hits led to them spending more weeks in the 1980s charts than any other group, yet in 2003 they still packed out the Albert Hall for a special gig for the Teenage Cancer Trust and won Best Musical for Our House at the 2003 Olivier Awards. Roland Gift appears as special guest in this gig which has been described as "a unique blend of music from the 'nutty boys.'"
Tickets for both shows from the hotline: 01842 814612 or www.seetickets.com or www.ticketmaster.co.uk or www.ticketline.co.uk
