THE Burford Festival which runs from Friday, June 17 to Sunday, June 25 presents a remarkably varied programme which really does have something for everyone.

Music ranges from the Burford Orchestra, the Bochman Quartet, the Burford Singers in an Opera Gala and the excellent Cotswold Children's Choir, to Street Opera, the Yetties, jazz, blues and barbershop, not forgetting the Stonesfield Silver Band.

Colin Dexter talks about his famous creation, Inspector Morse, a panel of experienced gardeners take part in Gardeners' Question Time, there's a street party in Sheep Street, a bowls match and supper at the Bowls Club, family fun at the Primary School and a Sixties Evening and a Christie's Valuation Day in the Festival Marquee.
