PIANIST Anna Markland will perform pieces by Scarlatti, Grieg, McCabe and Debussy at St Peter's Church, Marlborough on Friday, June 24 in aid of Riverbank, the arts centre planned for Marlborough by the Kennet Valley Arts Trust.
Educated at Chetham's School of Music, Manchester, Anna studied piano, singing, violin and harpsichord.
She gained an instrumental scholarship to Worcester College, Oxford and the Royal Academy of Music and was BBC Young Musician of the Year in 1982.
She performs recitals and concertos throughout the country and, in her parallel career as a singer, is a founder member of the world-renowned vocal ensemble I Fagiolini, currently touring with their new project, the Full Monteverdi.
