GIRL Talk, which comes to the Wyvern Theatre, Swindon tonight, June 30 at 7.30pm, is a highly entertaining cabaret show dreamed up by Mari Wilson, Barb Jungr and Claire Martin and now turned into a successful musical entertainment.
Set in a jazz club, the three singers are accompanied by a fine pianist, producing full-on soul singing mixed with cheesy love songs, three part harmony, old Supremes routines and lots more.
Mari Wilson sang hit songs like Cry Me a River in the early1980s and more recently performed in Taboo with Boy George in the West End and toured with the musical Sweet Charity.
Claire Martin won the Best British Vocalist category at the British jazz awards in 1995 and has wowed audiences worldwide ever since, while Barb Jungr has the unusual ability to combine a passionate and original singing talent with a flair for comedy.
It's a great mix and an evening not to be missed.
Tickets from the box office on 01793 524491.
