THE GARDENS of Bourton House, Bourton-on-the-Hill, near Moreton-in Marsh, the home of Monique and Richard Paice, will be open on Thursday, July 7 from 10am-5pm in aid of the Cobalt Appeal Fund's Crack Cancer Campaign.
The garden, with its lawns, topiary, knot garden, potager and water features, is a treat in itself but there's also an exhibition of colourful banners by Angela Baum and Annette Chevallier and another by Christine Walford Oriental Rugs, both reflecting the beauty of the garden.
In the afternoon the children in Year 6 at Dormer House School, Moreton-in-Marsh will join the artists for a hands-on workshop to produce individual pieces of painted collage which will be made into their own large banner.
Visitors are invited to watch the work in progress.
Delicious home made lunches and teas will be served in the 16th century Tithe Barn. It's a great way to enjoy a day out and support a vital local charity.
