POLICE investigating the death of a man on a Gloucester street in the early hours of this morning, Sunday 24 November, are appealing for a potential witness to come forward.
A 38-year-old man from Matson died following a collision with a car on Painswick Road at around 12.15am today.
Officers discovered him while driving to another incident and, despite the efforts of the emergency services, he was declared dead at the scene.
His next of kin and the coroner have been informed.
The car involved in the collision stopped at the scene. No arrests have been made.
Officers are now keen to speak to the driver of a white vehicle that was seen on Matson Avenue shortly after midnight, who may have witnessed the male prior to the collision and the collision itself.
They would also like to speak to anyone with dash cam footage which they believe to be relevant.
Closures remain on Painswick Road, between Heron Way and Norbury Avenue, while investigations continue.
