A 20-YEAR-OLD man has been fined and banned after being caught drink-driving on one of Cirencester's busiest roads.
Adam Orhon had pleaded not guilty to driving a Hyundai i10 in London Road, Cirencester while over the alcohol level on April 7 last year.
However, he was found guilty at a trial held on Monday, October 14 at Cheltenham Magistrates Court.
The court heard he gave a reading of 65 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath - the legal limit being 35 micrograms.
Orhon, of Berberry Close, Birmingham, was banned from driving for 18 months.
He must also pay a £300 fine plus a £120 surcharge and £775 costs - a total of £1,195.
The ban will be reduced by 18 weeks if he completes a course by October 18, 2025.
