A WOMAN from the Cirencester area must pay over £850 for failing to send her child to school.
The woman did not ensure that the child, a girl aged 15, regularly attended secondary school over a period of time earlier this year, despite knowing that they were not attending.
The case was proved in her absence at Cheltenham Magistrates Court on September 17.
She was fined £440 at Cheltenham Magistrates Court the same day with £250 in costs plus a £176 surcharge - a total of £866.
