POLICE are escorting an abnormal load through Gloucestershire this afternoon (November 4).
The load is 5 metres wide, and while traffic disruption will be kept to a minimum, motorists are advised to allow extra time for their journeys or find alternative routes, according to Gloucestershire police.
A forklift truck is due to travel from the M5 to Mitcheldean in the Forest of Dean.
The escort, which begins at around 1pm, will exit the M5 northbound at junction 11 for Cheltenham and Gloucester before travelling along the A40 to Huntley and turning left onto the A4136.
It will arrive at Vantage Point Business Village in Mitcheldean.
Officers would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
