STAFF at Cirencester's Local Information Centre are celebrating after a record-breaking month for visitors in September.
The Local Information Centre is based in Bingham House in Cirencester and welcomes people in six days a week.
A spokesman for the LIC said: "Our award-winning LIC team has broken all records with 3,099 visitors in September 2024 - just exceeding the August 2024 total of 3,061 which itself was our highest number ever recorded.
"During last month we had 222 queries about Town Council related matters and 615 which related to other community issues. We had 476 public transport enquiries and 1,786 tourists.
"Our Saturday openings are also proving successful with 111 tourists popping in one day.
"To this end we are delighted to announce the LIC will be now open every Saturday from April to the end of December."
Cirencester Local Information Centre not only offers information about the local area but also stocks a unique range of locally-made gifts and cards that make ideal presents for Christmas and birthdays.
"If you like to support local makers, want to cut down on travel and not have the worry of a missed delivery this Christmas, then a visit to our shop is a must.
"As well as stocking a range of handcrafted items we have also introduced a new and exciting range of craft kits to keep you busy over the winter months.
"Choose from a selection of needle felting, cross stitch, embroidery and mosaic kits all include instructions and everything you need to create a lovely handmade piece of art to keep and enjoy.
"We are also hosting pop-up Cards for Good Causes charity Christmas cards.
"These cards provide an extensive range to suit all tastes and support a raft of different charities.
"We also have a range of hand-recycled cards, where the proceeds of sale go directly to the Cobalt unit in Cheltenham.
"Please do pop in and say hello, and have a look around.
"You might just find that perfect gift.
"We are open Monday to Friday from 9am to 4.30pm and Saturday from 10am to 4pm."
