AN INDIAN and Bangladeshi restaurant in Cirencester is holding a charity dinner to support a foodbank in the area.
Indian Rasoi in Dollar Street is hosting the dinner to support Cirencester Foodbank on Wednesday, October 17.
The Indian and Bangladeshi restaurant, run by Roman Abu, is offering a three-course set menu created by Roman especially for the evening.
All profits will be donated to the foodbank, which has locations in Cirencester, Tetbury and Fairford.
Indian Rasoi is also celebrating its 16th birthday with a special three-course menu across National Curry Week from October 7 to 13.
“Winter is just around the corner, and a charity that does so much good work at this time is one we would like to support,” Roman said of the dinner for the foodbank.
“I went to a recent talk at Aura Care Living’s Stratton Court retirement village to meet one of the foodbank team, Anton Wynn, and learn more about what they do.”
Anton, the head of Cirencester Foodbank, is grateful for the partnership and is looking forward to the dinner.
“We are really pleased that Roman and the team at Indian Rasoi have chosen to support our charity,” he said.
“The ongoing cost-of-living crisis has resulted in people who have never needed to turn to a foodbank before needing our support.
“There is no need to be proud - we are here to support everyone.”
The three-course set menu for the charity dinner costs £35 per head.
The evening will be a bookings-only event.
