A COMPANY based near Kemble is set to receive a £9 million boost.
Kubus, which provides technology for businesses, has received the investment from finance company BGF.
Located at the Cotswold Business Park near Cotswold Airport and founded in 2003, Kubus works with vendors including Dell, Cisco and Fortinet.
In the year ended March 31, 2024, it delivered turnover of £35 million.
BGF’s investment will support it in accelerating its growth, expanding its offering and driving innovation as a trusted technology partner for leading businesses and public sector organisations.
The £9 million cash boost will enable it to enhance its marketing and sales capabilities, support growth through targeted acquisitions, strengthen its operational infrastructure to support increased demand and explore new market opportunities and strategic partnerships.
Alongside BGF’s investment, the Kubus leadership team has been bolstered with the appointment of non-executive chair Paul Brennan through BGF’s Talent Network.
Paul is an experienced chair focusing on fast growth technology and tech-enabled businesses and working with shareholders, executives and founder teams to enable significant growth.
BGF, which was created in 2011, has invested more than £4 billion in over 600 companies.
It invests in growing businesses in the UK and Ireland through its network of 15 offices.
Andrew Humphrey, chief executive of Kubus, said: "We are thrilled to partner with BGF and leverage its expertise and resources to take Kubus to the next level.
“As a business based in the heart of the Cotswolds, we’re proud to be working with businesses and organisations across the world.
“This investment will allow us to accelerate our global growth plans, innovate faster and deliver even greater value to our customers.
“With the added support of Paul in his new role as non-executive chair, the road ahead looks very exciting indeed.”
Edwin Davies, investor at BGF who led the deal with Louis Hall, said: “We are excited to invest in Kubus and support its vision for the future.
“With strong vendor relationships and a longstanding, blue-chip customer base, Kubus has demonstrated impressive growth and innovation in the technology sector.
“We believe it is well positioned to capitalise on the strong market opportunities ahead and look forward to working alongside Paul and the Kubus management team on its growth journey.”
