ONE lane of a key road in the area will be closed as an abnormal load is escorted through Gloucestershire.
Police are escorting the load through the county on Wednesday afternoon (October 2).
The escort is expected to leave Crickley Hill in Birdlip at 12pm before travelling along the A417 and joining the M5, Gloucestershire Police said.
The load is 4.45m wide and 139.5 tonnes in weight, so will result in one lane of the A417 being closed.
While traffic disruption will be kept to a minimum, motorists are advised to allow extra time for their journeys or find alternative routes.
Officers would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
