FIVE staff members from a home centre in Cirencester took on the Bournemouth Memory Walk on Sunday.
They have raised a total of £645 so far to date for the Alzheimer’s Society.
The charity has three core ways they provide help and hope to those who are affected by dementia in the UK.
These are through providing dementia support services, funding research into dementia and campaigning for change for people affected by dementia.
There are currently estimated to be 900,000 people in the UK with dementia.
Karley Robbins, marketing manager said: “Leah was the first one to suggest we took part in the Memory Walk and organised it all for us and we were all so proud to have participated.
"A dementia diagnosis can be devastating to the person receiving it and their wider support network – knowing the Alzheimer’s Society can help these people using funding raised by all who participated in Bournemouth is heart-warming.”
