A WILTSHIRE town has been crowned the best place to live in the county in a new ranking.
10 Wiltshire towns and villages have been picked out as the most idyllic destinations in the area by the editorial team and readers at lifestyle magazine Muddy Stilettos.
The publication has ranked the top 10 places in each of the counties it covers to create a list of the best 260 places in the UK.
This year, Malmesbury topped the annual list for Wiltshire after Marlborough scooped first place last year.
The small town was described as “a charming market town with plenty of indie shops, cafes and a fabulous newly-refurbished hotel”.
It was praised for both its “rich history” and its “packed music and arts calendar”.
