FANS of a military airshow held in the area can find out more about the individuals involved in 2024’s event in a popular video on YouTube.

Need For Speed: Typhoon Turbo Charged from Eurofighter Typhoon gives viewers access to the faces behind the RAF Typhoon Display Team at The Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford this year.

The video, part of Eurofighter Typhoon’s The Fighter Show, features this year’s TDT pilot, Flight Lieutenant David “Turbo” Turnbull, as well as members of the TDT PR and engineering teams.

Having already scored over 70,000 views, it sees The Fighter Show host Flo Taitsch meet Turbo at RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire, with the pair chatting about life in the TDT hot seat in front of the 2024 Typhoon jet.

Flo then heads to RAF Fairford, where Turbo entertains RIAT’s crowd of 150,000.

The video also features Higgy, a member of the TDT PR team, and Ben, a member of the TDT engineering team.

“It’s fantastic that The Fighter Show is able to give fans this ‘behind-the-scenes’ access,” said Flo.

“It’s a brilliant episode for anyone to watch, whether they’re new to the Typhoon displays or a seasoned airshow visitor.

“The footage we secure, as well as the interviews, makes for compelling viewing.”

In July, the RAF Typhoon - one of the RAF’s flagship aircraft - made history at RIAT when it completed its first public display on a blend of regular jet fuel and sustainable fuel.
