THIS fun-loving Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppy in Gloucestershire is looking for his fur-ever home.
Hank has spent the past six months - or half his life - in the care of The Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home and was seized from a property in the West Midlands pending a case of cruelty and neglect.
He was found starving and covered in faeces.
Despite all he’s been through in his young life, however, his loving nature has never wavered, and he is now available for adoption.
Hank is a gentle and affectionate boy who adores attention and is eager to please.
His eyes light up when he sees his favourite people, and he’s always ready to offer a wagging tail and a snuggle.
Hank’s playful side shines through, along with his ability to build bonds, love and trust.
He knows how to capture hearts, often carrying around a comfort teddy in his mouth - which paired with his adorable face, works a charm at getting all the fuss.
Like many animals taken in by the CDCH, Hank came to the organisation through an RSPCA inspector after enduring severe neglect.
He was found starving, covered in excrement and emotionally shut down.
Tragically, he wasn’t alone - he was discovered alongside six other severely-malnourished dogs in a home in the West Midands, with one having already died having succumbed to starvation.
Among the survivors, Hank was one of three puppies cruelly locked in a small crate.
At barely six months old and weighing just 8kg, he was severely malnourished, with a low body score and his ribs and spine visible.
Due to legal proceedings, he was unable to be rehomed until now.
The CDCH near Cambridge is an independently-funded charity that works closely with the RSPCA, often taking in animals like Hank from inspectors.
