A NEW Indian restaurant is due to open in a village near Malmesbury next week.
Sasa’s Indian Kitchen and Bar is planning to open at the Pettifers Hotel in Crudwell on Monday, August 19.
Business owner Foyez Rahman and his uncle head chef Khaled Miah are looking forward to opening the doors to their new eatery.
Foyez says their food will include a fusion of Asian flare and flavours with fast moving UK and European culinary trends.
“It is a great opportunity to showcase more of what we can do,” he said.
“My uncle, Khaled Miah, is an excellent chef, he has been cooking great Indian food in the area for 38 years, since 1980, and before that was at a great restaurant that really set the trend in West Kensington.
Foyez and his uncle also run a similar restaurant Asha Indian Kitchen in The Crown at Cerney Wick.
Foyez added: “There will be roti wraps, burgers or barbequed paneer sitting on the menu alongside charcoal sizzlers of roasted king prawns and charred peppers.
“There are samosas, perfect for sharing and East meets West tacos and of course, for the traditionalist, dansak, madras and biriyani.
“Chef specials include the Korma Sutra, The Birthday Suit and Take Your Cloves Off, it is a fun menu and we look forward to sharing it with Crudwell and the surrounding area, we will of course be offering takeaways as well."
