A BRANCH of Tesco in Cirencester has closed for a fortnight.
A photo on social media indicated that the Chesterton Cirencester Express store in Chesterton Lane closed at 4pm on Sunday, August 11.
According to the image, the nearest alternative Tesco store for shoppers is the Cirencester Extra branch in Cricklade Road, Cirencester.
A note on the webpage for the Chesterton Lane store on the Tesco website said: “We’ve closed this store until 26 August 2024 to make improvements.
“We’re sorry for any inconvenience.”
A Tesco spokesperson said: “Our Chesterton Cirencester Express store is currently closed for a refresh.
“We look forward to welcoming customers back when the store is due to reopen on Monday, 26 August.
“While the store is closed, our Cirencester Extra store on Cricklade Road will be open as usual for customers.”
