A SOUTHERN Indian restaurant in Cirencester has been awarded an alcohol licence and is now serving takeaway options to boot.
Dosapark in Sheep Street has been open since April.
The alcohol licence allows the eatery to sell wines, spirits and alcoholic drinks on the premises.
Information on licensing applications from Cotswold District Council indicates that the restaurant was granted a new premises licence on Wednesday, July 24.
The restaurant hosted a lunch for local businesses to mark the awarding of the licence and show how its new wines pair with some of its dishes.
In addition, the restaurant is celebrating the fact that it is now serving takeaway options from its menu.
The eatery is the only Dosapark site to have an alcohol licence.
It will also continue to serve the mocktails that it used to successfully open the restaurant.
Business co-owner Omer Rahim said: “The reception for Dosapark has been exceptional, and we would like to thank the people of Cirencester and the surrounding villages for their support so far.
“Serving wine and other beverages, which we will source especially for our dishes, will add something else to the restaurant and what we are looking to bring to the restaurant community in Cirencester and the Cotswolds.”
