A SECOND-HAND shop in Cirencester has moved to new premises in the town.
Second Chance held a grand opening for its new store at 8 Ashcroft Road (formerly Cirencester Sales & Lettings) on Wednesday, July 17.
The shop had previously traded in Cricklade Street for almost 10 years.
It is hoped that the relocation will raise the store’s profile and provide an increase in customers.
The shop is a foundation that tries to reach families, individuals on their own and people who are homeless, as well as anyone who requires a helping hand.
It predominantly sells preloved children’s clothes, toys and baby accessories.
The store supports different charities and organisations, including Home-Start Cotswolds, The Churn Project and Cirencester Opportunity Group.
Not everything donated is sold in-store, with many items donated to support other organisations or charities.
The shop also takes referrals from support workers who may require an item or items.
Manager Sue Dowling said: “The shop moved premises as we needed something bigger and the location of the new shop is much better.
“The aim and purpose of the shop has always been to reach out to the community and make a difference in the lives of others.
“The hope is that we will increase the support we offer as we have more storage for more goods.
“Having larger premises also means we will be able to have volunteers.”
