A GEM of a new independent jeweller has opened its doors.

Located on Cirencester’s Black Jack Street, Trove, run by husband and wife Brian and Gemmie Dolan, opened amid the summer solstice with a lavish party.

The jeweller specialises in unique pieces tailored to customers’ likes.

Brian, from London, and Jemmie, from Canada, moved to the area nine years ago to bring up their children.

The couple source everything themselves and buy from Sri Lanka, Tanzania and Thailand, as well as locally.

Brian’s experience includes eight years working alongside world-renowned jeweller Laurence Graff, launching and managing two Graff boutiques in the US - one in Oak Street in Chicago and the other in Wynn Las Vegas.

In subsequent years, Brian became president of Fabergé USA and was responsible for the reintroduction of the jewellery house into North America, opening a flagship store in Madison Avenue in New York City.

“I still work with cruise ships and have business in America, but having something at home means so much,” Brian said.

“We visited Cirencester and met so many amazing people, and it felt like a place to settle in after so many years as nomads travelling for work for both of us.

“We didn’t set Trove up as something for the super rich - we would like to think Trove has something for everyone, and we can make what you want for you.”
