1. Reflective breakfast for women
You are invited to a reflective breakfast for women on Saturday, the 29th of June from 9:30 am until 11 am.
This will be at the tranquil location of Christchurch The Chipping. This will be a special time to chat and time to be encouraged as you share simple craft activity and be able to listen to someone sharing their faith and enjoy breakfast which would include hot drinks, pastries, granola, fruit and yoghurt.

2. Invited to pub for session

3. Next car boot sale
On Sunday 30 June, will be the next Tetbury car boot sale at at Longfurlong lane, post code GL8 8TJ, Sellers can arrive at 9.00 pm and then open to buyers from 10.00 am.

4. Afternoon recital
On Sun 30 Jun 2024 you can enjoy an Afternoon Music Recital with Laraine Levin, commencing at 3.00pm. In a series of performances by Laraine Levin MusB (Hons) MA HRM Assoc.
CIPD and her music students who play piano, flute and recorder and are between the ages of seven and adult, ranging in ability level from beginner to professional.
This concert will certainly be a delight to experience and includes performances from a number of her students of all ages, covering well loved pieces from Handel, Mozart, Strauss, Beethoven and Gershwin, to popular songs you may also recognise.
Laraine herself will be closing the concert with the final movement of Carl Reinecke’s Flute Concerto in D major Op 283. Larine is a local music teacher who started playing the piano at the age of five and the flute at age seven.
Achieving grade 8 flute at the age of 13 and grade 8 piano at the age of 17, she was principal flautist in the Reading Youth Orchestra, Berkshire Youth Wind Orchestra and Berkshire Youth Orchestra and a Berkshire county music scholar.
She won multiple competitions and awards before going on to achieve a honours degree in Music from Manchester University, having studied with Richard Davies, principal flautist of the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra.
She has been teaching flute and piano for over 30 years, ten of which were in the USA.Sharing and growing a love of music has been a lifelong passion of Laraine’s and she looks forward to providing you with a musical treat at her forthcoming concert. 5. Afternoon Music with the Stroud String Ensemble
Tetbury Good Shed present, Afternoon Music with the Stroud String Ensemble On Wed July 3 at 2.00pm A predominantly English programme of music performed by the Stroud String Ensemble. Today’s programme includes the beautiful Ireland ‘Downland Suite, the calm Walton Henry V Suite, and the uplifting Warlock Capriol Suite.
You can enjoy some super music, meet your friends as well as maybe making new ones. Advance tickets are just £3.50 (plus booking fee) Tickets on the door cost £4.00. The Whistle Stop Café will be open if you fancy a nice cup of tea (or coffee) and perhaps one of Sasha’s delicious cakes.

6. Next Heart and Soul service
The next new 'Heart & Soul! Service will be on Sunday July 7 starting at 5.15pm Free Tea/Coffee/Cake.
Then at 6.00pm the Service begins. Heart & Soul is a new modern worship service at St Marys’ Tetbury which seeks to go on a journey of discovery exploring different ways of worshipping God.Each service may be different but we hope that they will offer something for all as we focus on what it means to worship God throughout each day of our lives.
All are welcome to share this journey. And will be at St Mary's Church Tetbury.

7. Concert at the Goods Shed Arts Centre
On Fri 5 July The Chris Treglown Foundation Award Concert 2024 will take place at the Tetbury Goods Shed Arts Centre.
This is an exciting concert featuring fourteen up-and-coming young singers from the world of musical theatre and opera.
Two experts will be judging the singers as they compete for the prestigious Chris Treglown Memorial Prize of £1,000 – and for two further awards of £500. The foundation was set up in memory of Chris Treglown, a highly talented young singer who was tragically killed in a car accident in Cirencester in 2012.
It aims to support young singers and help them showcase their talents.
The concert will be hosted by by Daniel Jagusz Holley, who is returning from an international tour of Phantom of the Opera, and judged by Robert Dean and Will Poole assisted by international singer and coach, Maria Jagusz.The musical director and accompanist is Will Sharma
.The concert is in two parts, with musical theatre singers performing before a 15-minute interval and classical singers performing in the second half. Each singer will perform two contrasting songs. While the judges retire to make their decisions, Daniel Jagusz Holley will sing and entertain the audience.
The evening culminates with the presentation of the three prizes by Julia and John Treglown: £1,000 for the most outstanding singer from both categories; £500 for the most promising classical singer, and £500 for the most promising musical theatre singer.Doors open at 6:30pm. 8. Illustrated journey through the history of Painswick Rococo Garden
On Saturday 13th July 2024 at 7:30PM Tetbury Goods Shed are delighted to present Everything in the Garden - Talk and Concert An illustrated journey through the history of Painswick Rococo Garden accompanied by a musical programme evoking Everything in the Garden.
In his talk, Garden Director Dominic Hamilton will take you on an illustrated journey through the fascinating history and restoration of the garden since the 1740s.
The Every Other Monday Singers are a Stroud-based group of friends who meet for the joy of making music together (every other Monday!). It comprises professional musicians as well as talented amateurs with wide choral experience.
The Concert will feature floral-based choral music mainly from the English pastoral tradition, from madrigals to a work that is being composed especially for the concert by the group’s bass, Jonathan Trim, who conducts several local orchestras as well as singing and composing.
Ticket holders for this evening will be entitled to 10% discount on entry to the Rococo Garden. Painswick Rococo Garden (www.rococogarden.org.uk) is a gorgeous Georgian garden squeezed into a hidden valley. Fantastic vistas, serpentine paths and rolling Cotswold countryside surprise and delight the visitor as much as its charming follies.

10. St Mary's Church fate in July
The St Marys’ Church Fete will take place on Saturday 20th July 2.00 - 4.30 pm in the Vicarage garden.
As well as the delicious homemade Cream Teas, we plan to have book stall, raffle, tombola, face painting, children's games, children's' soft toy tombola, crafts & cards to mention a few.
This of course will Poppys last Fete before she moves on to her new Church so a perfect opportunity to come along and wish her well and say thank you for all the amazing things she has achieved and done for our Town many people whose lives she has touched.
However they need your help to make this Fete a success and raise vital funds for St Marys’ Helpers are needed to set up and take down tables, in the kitchen with the teas Quality items are needed for the stalls! Books, raffle and tombola prizes, sweets for the sweetie jar competition (no chocolate or nuts please), and soft cuddly toys.
These can be put in the chest by the font at the back of church.

11. Return of Tetbury Woolsack races was 'a success'
One of the most amazing successes of this year for Tetbury if not the biggest success was the return of one of Tetbury's most iconic events as the world famous Woolsack Races returned once again after its 4 year hiatus put together by a new committee a new team.
And last week at the Snooty Fox Hotel there was the presentations of the funds raised by the Team to three recipients all receiving a fantastic £1000 each, which included Longfield Hospice ,St Mary’s C of E primary school and Sir William Romney’s School this was also also a chance for the committee to thank all the various sponsors, Danny and Richard thanked all the various Sponsors Main Sponsor, Flooring South West Group - James Padden - Long Street.
