A VINEYARD is saying cheers to an accolade it has won in a series of national wine awards.
Larkhill Vineyard in Tetbury has been awarded a silver medal in the Independent English Wine Awards for 2024 for its Tetbury White 2022 still wine.
In its eighth edition this year, the competition is an annual event and is open to over 1,000 English vineyards.
Judging took place in Bristol in May, with the panel featuring Masters of Wine, wine journalists, sommeliers and wine-makers.
The Tetbury White wine is a dry, rounded white wine with hints of elderflower and English hedgerows and a balanced soft citrus finish.
The judges’ comments included: “A really drinkable and tasty wine with a nice balance of fruit and acidity.”
Larkhill Vineyard was planted in 2018 and produces white and rosé still and sparkling wines.
It offers an onsite shop, tours and tastings and a regular Friday night wine bar pop-up featuring wine and pizza.
Commenting on the silver medal, owners Simon and Wendy Bond said: “We are incredibly excited and proud of this prestigious award and can’t wait to showcase our other wines in the future competitions.”
