POLICE have issued an alert after a Tetbury resident returned home to discover burglars in their house.
Officers say the offenders targeted and ransacked the property located in Longfurlong Lane at around 4pm yesterday, Tuesday, June 11.
A spokesperson from Gloucestershire Police said in a community alert: “Offenders have broken into a property by smashing the rear patio door.
“The homeowner has returned to the property to find a black Audi on the drive belonging to the suspects.
“The offenders have then fled, being disturbed before they could remove belongings from the property.
“Please don't hesitate to call the police if you witness suspicious activity and dial 999 if you believe a crime is taking place.”
