A number of pubs throughout Wiltshire are looking for new landlords after being listed for sale.
Several venues throughout the county’s towns and villages are currently on the market via property website Rightmove with dozens of opportunities available for potential new owners.
A list of some of the pubs still for sale in Wiltshire, at the time of writing, can be found below.
The Longs, Steeple Ashton High Street
The most expensive pub on the market in Wiltshire, the Grade II listed venue is priced at just under £1 million.
The pub has recently been extended and refurbished with modern facilities and is now for sale at a price of £995,000.
Estate agent Savills described the pub as a “significant and attractive landmark in the local landscape” and added there is potential to convert the unused barn to create additional space.
The White Hart, Wroughton High Street
A prominent pub at “the heart” of the village of Wroughton, near the M4, The White Hart has been put on the market for £850,000.
The pub and restaurant is housed in a “stunning” 19th century building with a thatched roof and can seat over 100 people.
The venue also has ten en-suite letting bedrooms in a purpose-built block and a large car park.
The Bear Inn, Bradford on Avon Silver Street
The Bear Inn pub is up for sale for a price of £699,950 after planning permission was granted to turn the venue into residential accommodation.
While estate agent Kingstons says this planning consent remains valid, the property is also being marketed as a “generously proportioned public house.”
In its current form, the building houses five en-suite bedrooms and occupies a “prime central position within the town.”
The Smoking Dog, Malmesbury High Street
The Smoking Dog closed last September when the management departed due to “unforeseen circumstances” and owners Butcombe Brewery launched a search for new tenants.
The High Street venue is currently on the market for a fixed price of £450,000 and is described as having “lots of character.”
Up to 50 people can fit into the bar while the restaurant sits 30.
There is also a large beer garden with 80 seats in partially covered areas.
The Organ Inn, Warminster High Street
This High Street pub is located in a Grade II listed 17th century building and is up for sale for £325,000.
Much like The Bear, planning permission has been granted to change the use of the venue from a public house to a single residential dwelling.
The property currently houses a bar and dining room, a function room and skittle alley, two conference rooms, and a beer garden.
George and Dragon, Erlestoke High Street
The “attractive period” property has recently been extensively refurbished and is now on the market for £525,000.
Estate agent Fleurets says any ingoing owner would simply have to add inventory to the existing trading areas.
The pub is currently split up into three main areas, including the bar, an adjacent casual seating section, and a separate restaurant linked to the bar.
Westbrook Inn, Bromham Westbrook Road
Anyone hoping to take over the Westbrook Inn’s “established and profitable business”, located just off the A3102, will have to offer in excess of £600,000.
The two-storey building dates back to the early 19th century and has only had two previous private owners since 1991.
Since the current occupants bought the property in 2016, it has been renovated from “top to bottom” including the addition of a permanent marquee and the transformation of the beer garden.
