A MOVING house causing chaos and a motorcycle rider with a fake registration plate were among the offences caught by police in Wiltshire over the weekend.
Roads Policing Unit officers stopped a haulier that was moving a house through the streets of Royal Wootton Bassett on Saturday.
A spokesperson said that the vehicle with an abnormal load was "causing chaos" as it had "tried to dodge [the] costs of moving safely with police escort by not notifying [them]".
The Wiltshire Police spokesperson added: "Hmm, stands out a bit!"
The driver was reported to court, the traffic commissioner was informed, and the house-carrying haulier was later escorted to its destination by police, as should have been arranged in the first place before the large vehicle set off.
On the same day, RPU seized a motorcycle because the rider did not have a licence or valid insurance, and the two-wheeler's registration plate, which spelled out "WHO5 DAT" was not properly registered.
The police spokesperson added: "Not so swagger now you are walking."
