A MONTH of road closures on the A419 looks set to cause disruption in the area. 

The busy A-road is scheduled to close overnight in a series of locations, stretching from Cirencester to the M4, during the next month.

During these closures, National Highways will carry out maintenance work, including the sweeping of the carriageways.

The road will shut between the hours of 8pm and 6am to minimise traffic disruption.

A list of the scheduled A419 closures can be found below: 

Wednesday, May 29 – Friday, May 31: Southbound between Burford Road and Spine Road.

Friday, May 31 – Tuesday, June 4: Northbound between Burford Road and Spine Road.

Tuesday, June 4 – Saturday, June 8: Southbound between Spine Road and Lady Lane.

Monday, June 10 – Friday, June 14: Northbound between Turnpike Junction and Cricklade Junction.

Friday, June 14 – Tuesday, June 18: Southbound between Lady Lane and A420.

Tuesday, June 18 – Thursday, June 20: Northbound between A420 and Turnpike Junction.

Thursday, June 20 – Saturday, June 22: Southbound between A420 and Commonhead Junction.

Monday, June 24 – Wednesday, June 26: Northbound between Commonhead Junction and A420.

Wednesday, June 26 – Friday, June 28: Both directions between Commonhead Junction and M4 junction 15.
