A GRASS snake was recently spotted at a nature reserve in our area.
Keen photographer Lisa Mallon, shared a photo of the reptile at Cotswold Water Park.
Lisa - who is a member of the Swindon and Wiltshire Camera Club - said: "Spotted [this] at DragonFly Café. Believe it is a grass snake.
"Not a great photo, zoomed in on my phone."
The photo shows the grass snake, which is a completely harmless breed, going for a swim in waters nearby.
There are only three types of snakes native to the UK - an adder, a grass snake and a smooth snake.
While grass snakes are native to the UK and known to be in the area, they have been infrequently sighted in recent years.
