CIRENCESTER Town Council has announced its participation in a worldwide campaign which celebrates the diversity of local markets across the globe.
The council's dedicated market and events team are partnering up with The National Association of British Market Authorities to join the global Love Your Local Market campaign over the next few weeks.
Townsfolk and visitors are invited to celebrate the town's bustling markets from Friday, May 17 starting with a Friday Charter Market, swiftly followed by the annual foodie extravaganza, the two-day Food & Lifestyle Festival on Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19.
In addition, an Arts & Crafts Market, Farmers Market, and Twilight Market will all take place in the buzzing Market Place before the end of the month.
A spokesperson for Cirencester Town Council said: "Join us from Friday, May 17 to Saturday, June 1 as we celebrate the heartbeat of our local community.
"Now in its 13th year, the National Association of British Market Authorities' Love Your Local Market campaign has transcended borders, embraced by 24 countries worldwide.
"At Cirencester Markets, we're thrilled to be part of this global movement, showcasing the unique vibrancy and diversity of our local market scene.
"We invite you to discover the magic of Cirencester Markets and join us in celebrating the beating heart of our community.
