NEW life-saving equipment in Malmesbury was unveiled yesterday thanks to a community effort.
Malmesbury League of Friends has donated funds towards a brand-new defibrillator which was installed outside the Hilditch Group premises in Gloucester Road Industrial Estate, Malmesbury on Tuesday, May 7.
The machine - which is located next to the medical equipment company's reception entrance opposite Station Road Car Park - is now up and running and is available for employees and visitors to use.
This new defibrillator is a welcome addition to the network of devices, joining a further 25 local parish councils in the area that have already received defibrillator funding from the community group.
David Hide, Malmesbury League of Friends chairman, said: “We are delighted to have worked with the Hilditch Group to enable the installation of a defibrillator at their premises in the Gloucester Road Trading Estate, a really good joint community venture.”
Jamie Howes, from the Hilditch Group, said: “We are very grateful to have received this help from Malmesbury League of Friends in placing this life-saving facility, which can be used by both our employees and visitors alike.”
