BRAKSPEAR Brewery - also known as WH Brakspear & Sons - has bought the Lamb Inn at Great Rissington.
The grade II listed pub had been under family ownership for many years.
Brakspear says it is planning to invest in a refurbishment of the bar area and dining spaces at the pub, which has a bar and restaurant with 80 covers and 14 en-suite bedrooms.
Gerard Winder, business development director for Brakspear, said: "Our vision for The Lamb is to create a community hub whilst also offering a wonderful place to relax, stay and dine if visiting from further afield.
"Brakspear will be looking for a tenant with experience of the area and a strong background in food and beverage to take the business on a tenancy agreement."
Brakspear CEO Tom Davies said: 'We are delighted to announce the acquisition of The Lamb at Great Rissington, and it will be a fantastic addition to our estate.
"We have other businesses with rooms within the Cotswolds, which are thriving, so it's an area we understand."
