A NEW competitor from a popular Indian restaurant near Cirencester plans to spice things up at an upcoming cocktail contest.
Foyez Rahman, owner of Asha Indian Kitchen at The Crown in Cerney Wick, has put forward experienced mixologist Harrison Vine to represent the restaurant at the annual Cirencester Cocktail Competition on Monday, May 13.
The exciting event will see Harrison lock straws with Téatro Bar and Restaurant’s Ryan Walters, Seventeen Black’s senior mixologist James Stone and Cirencester Park Polo Club Bar and Brasserie’s Bogdan Martin.
The fierce competitors will prepare one alcoholic summer drink and one mocktail for a panel of esteemed judges.
Mr Rahman said: “Harrison will represent us and I suspect that the others will be quaking in their boots.
"We have already discussed a few ideas, based on our current offering.
"We are both looking forward to it.”
