AN ITALIAN chef has been appointed to run the kitchen at a new restaurant in Cirencester.
Born and raised in Northern Italy, Danijel Furjan will lead the culinary team at The Orangery in Siddington Park, Cirencester which opens to the public on Monday, May 13.
The chef's passion for cooking was ignited at a young age and many of his dishes are inspired by his family’s recipes.
Danijel moved to Cirencester 14 years ago and he has worked at a number of upmarket venues in the area such as Barnsley House and Lords of the Manor Hotel in Upper Slaughter.
He is excited to cook some delicious British and Mediterranean dishes for guests at the new Cirencester restaurant next month.
Danijel is also looking forward to helping landscaper Chris Liversidge plant an onsite kitchen garden which will provide his team with an abundance of fresh produce.
The Orangery will be open for lunch every day and for dinner on Friday and Saturday evenings.
Danijel is currently looking to hire a pastry chef to make homemade breads and afternoon teas at the new establishment.
