A HOTEL owner clinked glasses of bubbly with guests to celebrate the completion of a £300k refurbishment project last week.
Husband and wife team Aidan and Sarah Stevens first took over The Stratton House Hotel and Spa in 2016 and invited Cirencester residents and business owners to a launch party to reveal their newly refurbished Garden Restaurant and kitchen on Thursday, April 11.
Attendees were greeted with fizz on arrival from general manager Ricardo Canestra and were also offered a selection of delicious canapes created by head chef Tim.
These delicious small bites were inspired by some of the dishes on the restaurant's new seasonal menu.
This kitchen and restaurant renovation project is the owners' latest investment in the 43-bed, 17th Century Cotswold hotel, which has already seen all of the bedrooms refurbished and the addition of a £1 million spa in 2021.
Owner and director Aidan said: "It was great to see so many people share the relaunch of the Garden Restaurant with us.
"A big thank you to everyone who came along and to our great team for putting on such a wonderful evening.
"Our aim is to provide something different for the Stratton and Cirencester community and the feedback on the night was extremely positive.
"We don’t want to be seen as simply a hotel for our residents, instead we want to create a friendly, local venue where the community can come together to enjoy quality food, share our stunning gardens and relax in our spa.
“We have also introduced weekly Wine down Wednesdays where we will offer wines from our new wine wall at retail prices, and every Thursday from now on at the restaurant will be Stratton Grill Night.
"Our next big event is on Bank Holiday Monday, May 27 where we will be hosting our Party in the Garden with live music, family games, cocktails, outdoor bar and more of our delicious food, so please come along and join us.”
